Each student receives a detailed report based on what they enjoy, the subjects that interest them, how they prefer to work and the routes they are considering. Their school sees the themes appearing across participating students, rather than a list of individual responses.
For students

A handful of suggested occupations may provide a starting point, but it can leave students wondering what to do next.
A Certyz report explains why particular careers may suit the student and helps them compare their options properly. It brings together:
- Careers connected to their interests and preferences
- Possible university, college and apprenticeship routes
- Current vacancy and salary information
- Regional differences in opportunity
- Related careers they may not have considered
- Practical questions and next steps for further research
The report is not intended to make a decision for the student. It gives them something useful to think about and something specific to discuss with a parent, teacher or careers adviser.

Students do not need to give us their name or email address
Students should be able to explore their future honestly without feeling that every answer is being attached to a permanent personal profile.
The Certyz assessment does not ask students for a name or email address. A school access code connects their response to the correct school, but staff are shown grouped results rather than individual assessment answers.
No names
Students are not asked to identify themselves.

A student account is not needed to complete the assessment.

Certyz shows what participating students are interested in, which routes they are considering, where they would like to work and where uncertainty remains.
A careers team might discover that:
- Many students are interested in healthcare but know little about routes other than university.
- Apprenticeship interest is growing in a particular year group.
- Students are interested in careers that are rarely represented in school activities.
- Confidence is lower among certain groups of students.

Completing an assessment does not necessarily mean a student feels any clearer about what to do next.
Certyz asks students how confident they feel before receiving their report and gives them an opportunity to answer again afterwards. This helps schools see whether the experience has made a difference.

Where students return later, changes in confidence can also be viewed over time. The aim is not to turn a personal feeling into a performance target. It is to help schools understand whether students are becoming better prepared to make decisions.
Current information
Career information changes. The guidance should reflect that.
A career may sound appealing, but students also need to understand what is happening in the labour market.
Certyz combines personal recommendations with current information about advertised jobs, salaries and regional demand. Students can see how opportunities differ around the UK and consider whether a particular route is realistic for them.
This information is presented as evidence to consider, not a prediction or a promise. A high number of vacancies does not automatically make a career right for someone, just as a smaller market does not mean they should abandon something they care about.
Personal fit and real-world opportunity belong in the same conversation.

No assessment can understand everything about a student’s circumstances, abilities or ambitions.
Certyz gives students a structured place to begin and gives careers teams useful evidence for the conversations that follow. Professional guidance, teacher knowledge and family discussions remain an important part of the decision.
